In a heartfelt plea, Ahmed Musa, the captain of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, has personally appealed to President Bola Tinubu to move beyond watching the team’s AFCON matches on TV and instead join them in Ivory Coast to cheer for victory.

Musa conveyed this request during a Zoom meeting with the Minister of Sports Development, John Owan Enoh, in preparation for the Eagles’ Round of 16 fixture against Cameroon.

Expressing the Team’s Message: “We Want Him Over Here”

During the virtual meeting, Musa expressed the team’s collective desire for President Tinubu to be physically present in Ivory Coast.

He emphasized the importance of the President being on-site to cheer the team to success, signaling a strong message of unity and support from the nation’s leadership.

Ahmed Musa took a moment to appreciate the support extended by Minister John Owan Enoh to the Super Eagles.

In response to Musa’s appeal, Minister Enoh reassured the team that President Tinubu would indeed visit Ivory Coast to support the Super Eagles in person.

Enoh conveyed the President’s commitment and provided assurance that arrangements were underway for Tinubu’s attendance.

With Nigeria securing a spot in the Round of 16 after finishing second in Group A, the Super Eagles are set to face Cameroon in a crucial match.
