WAM delegation briefed on latest technologies at MWC 2022 in Barcelona

BARCELONA, 3rd March, 2022 – A delegation from the Emirates News Agency (WAM) was briefed on the latest global trends in the field of information technology, future smart systems and digital services, during its visit to the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain.

The delegation, which was led by Mohammed Jalal Al Rayssi, Director-General of WAM, included a number of officials from the information technology department.

The WAM delegation visited a number of pavilions of international companies that participated in the event and was briefed on advanced digital solutions and artificial intelligence applications that could support humans in performing a number of tasks, especially in the media sector, with high efficiency and professionalism.

The visit comes within the framework of WAM’s keenness to keep pace with technical developments and attract the latest technologies, as well as digital and smart solutions, in line with the agency’s development strategy to enhance its leading position in the global arena.
