The mother, Mrs. Wosilat Suleiman, recounted the distressing experience, revealing that the alleged kidnapper had been introduced by a relative.

Mrs. Suleiman, who had given birth earlier through Caesarean Section, explained that a relative left briefly and entrusted her care to the mysterious woman.
The stranger claimed she wanted to bathe the baby but vanished with the child, leaving the mother distraught and appealing for assistance in locating her newborn.

The hospital management expressed regret over the incident despite having implemented strict security measures. Dr. Mohammed Salihu, Acting Head of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department, stated that this was the first such theft in the hospital’s history.
