Lewis Hamilton is set to wrap up the final three races of his career with Mercedes, starting with the Las Vegas Grand Prix this weekend.

Despite some uncertainty surrounding his future following a cryptic radio message at the previous race in Brazil, Hamilton is pushing forward as planned.

No Sudden Changes

The seven-time world champion has been in Mercedes’ factory, preparing on the simulator for the night race in Las Vegas.

Hamilton, who will be joining Ferrari next season, has remained committed to his duties, with plans to participate in all remaining events.

On Wednesday evening, he will address the media in line with his usual pre-race obligations, confirming that his focus is on finishing the season strong with Mercedes.

A Disastrous Performance in Brazil

Hamilton had a tough time during the Brazilian Grand Prix, experiencing one of his most challenging performances in recent years.

He finished in 10th place and expressed his frustration over the team radio, saying, “That was a disaster of a weekend, guys.

The worst the car has ever been. Thank you for contributing to try and great job to all the guys at the pit-stop.”

His message hinted at a possible end to his Mercedes tenure, leaving fans speculating about his immediate future, especially with three races left in the season.

However, it’s clear Hamilton is focused on giving his best until the very end.

Mercedes’ Focus on the Future

Ahead of the Las Vegas Grand Prix, Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff shared the team’s mindset for the final races.

“We head to Las Vegas ready to tackle the final three races of the season,” Wolff said.

“We are focused on ending this year as strongly as possible and providing some more highlights as we close out 2024.

We are looking forward to the races ahead, to ending our incredible journey with Lewis on a high and to building momentum for 2025.”

Verstappen’s Championship Push

Meanwhile, Max Verstappen of Red Bull is on the verge of securing his fourth consecutive world championship.

If Verstappen outperforms Lando Norris in Las Vegas, he will clinch the title.

With all eyes on the upcoming race, both Hamilton and Verstappen have high stakes in the final stretch of the season.
