Terrorists kidnapped two construction workers along Lambata-Izom in the Gurara local government region of Niger state.

The construction workers were assaulted and bound before the terrorists abducted two of them.

Motorists were obliged to wait until the terrorists finished their activities, according to an eyewitness, who added that the attackers continued to shoot randomly to scare people away.

According to Umar Adamu, a local resident, they stormed Kwakuti and stole away many motorcycles. He stated,

“The armed bandits operated around Dajigbe village axis, along Minna – Suleja road but were dispersed by security operatives.

“They however went attacking neighbouring villages, seizing motorcycles and setting houses ablaze”  The state police spokesperson, Wasiu Abiodun who confirmed the incident, said it happened around 3pm.

Abiodun said the terrorists came out from the forest and escaped through the forest after being engaged by men of the police force and the military from Suleja. He added that the number of people abducted cannot be ascertained at the moment.
