Taylor Swift enjoys pre-Super Bowl dinner with Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes in New Orleans while fans react to their controversial praise for Donald Trump

Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce, Patrick Mahomes, and Brittany Mahomes enjoyed a relaxed evening in New Orleans just two days before the highly anticipated Super Bowl.

The power couples were spotted dining at the popular French restaurant Lilette on Magazine Street, where fans gathered outside to catch a glimpse of them.

Swift, dressed elegantly in a black dress and matching Eleonor boots from Larroude, appeared to be in high spirits as she exited the venue with Kelce.

However, while their night out seemed carefree, the conversation around Kelce and Mahomes had been anything but, especially after their recent comments about former president Donald Trump.

The Trump Controversy

Just days before the Super Bowl, Kelce and Mahomes made headlines for their complimentary remarks about Trump, a move that did not sit well with Swift’s passionate fanbase.

Trump, who has previously voiced his disdain for Swift, is set to attend the Super Bowl, where Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs will take on the Philadelphia Eagles.

When asked about Trump’s presence at the game, Kelce expressed enthusiasm, calling it an “honor” to play in front of the former president.

“That’s awesome. It’s a great honor,” he told reporters, emphasizing that playing in the biggest game of his life was exciting regardless of who was in attendance.

Mahomes echoed similar sentiments, noting that it was always special to play in front of a sitting president.

“It’s always cool to be able to play in front of a sitting president, someone that is in the top position in our country,” he remarked.

Swifties React

Swift’s fans, known for their fierce loyalty, were quick to express their frustration.

Many pointed to Trump’s past comments about the singer, particularly when he accused her of promoting liberal ideologies and dismissed her political endorsements.

Swift herself has been vocal in her opposition to Trump, famously calling him out on social media during his presidency.

In one of her most well-known posts, she condemned his rhetoric, writing: “After stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism your entire presidency, you have the nerve to feign moral superiority before threatening violence?”

Brittany Mahomes’ Involvement

Adding to the drama, Brittany Mahomes, Patrick’s wife, also faced scrutiny after she appeared to endorse Trump during his election campaign.

She reportedly liked an Instagram post detailing his proposed policies, leading many to question whether it would affect her friendship with Swift.

Despite the speculation, Swift and Brittany have continued to show a united front.

The two were seen vacationing together at Swift’s Rhode Island estate and have been spotted supporting each other at various events, including Chiefs games and Swift’s birthday party in December.

The Chiefs’ Historic Opportunity

With all the off-field drama swirling, the Chiefs still have a major task ahead: making history.

If they defeat the Eagles on Sunday, they will become the first team in NFL history to win the Super Bowl three years in a row.

As the countdown to kickoff continues, the focus will shift back to the game itself.

However, with Swift in attendance and the Trump controversy still fresh, the Super Bowl is shaping up to be just as much about the spectacle off the field as it is about the action on it.
