A shocking new video has surfaced, revealing a disturbing act in New Jersey where a Cadillac driver heartlessly abandoned a large dog.
The footage, released on July 18, 2024, shows a man in a dark tank top and pants leading a female pitbull mix on a leash towards a shelter fence on Absecon Boulevard in Atlantic City.
As the man approached the fence, he abruptly lifted the dog and threw it over, causing the animal to crash onto the stones below.
This isn’t an isolated incident; the Humane Society of Atlantic County reported that this was the fourth time this man had thrown a pitbull over their fence in the middle of the night.
The next morning, Jessie Scholder, the shelter’s assistant director, found the tan pitbull and confirmed that the dog was unharmed.
However, as staff members removed the shirt the dog was wearing, they discovered old scarring on her back.
“She has missing fur where the scarring is, which might not grow back,” Scholder explained.
The shelter staff have noticed a troubling pattern: since April, this same man has thrown three pitbull mixes with similar scarring over their fence.
Scholder emphasized the dangers, saying, “We’re right on the White Horse Pike, and it’s risky for dogs to be left outside, especially at night.
They could end up in traffic or stuck in the marsh.”
Police Appeal for Information
Atlantic City Police are asking anyone with information to reach out to them or the shelter. This incident follows another disturbing case from Los Angeles, where a man was filmed tossing his seven-month-old puppy down an apartment stairwell.
Similar Case in Los Angeles
In Los Angeles, Joeboury Coleman, 27, faces animal cruelty charges after being caught on video throwing his puppy down a stairwell.
The LAPD was alerted by concerned citizens who saw the footage on social media.
Coleman was arrested at his apartment complex on Oakwood Avenue in Koreatown.
The LAPD confirmed that the dog, despite the horrific abuse, managed to run back up the stairwell. Both incidents highlight a disturbing trend of animal cruelty, with authorities urging the public to report any such cases immediately.
