Shirley Ballas, the head judge of Strictly Come Dancing, has revealed her heightened sense of caution in light of recent events.
This comes after Gavin Plumb, a 36-year-old resident of Potters Field in Harlow, faced charges of “soliciting to commit murder and incitement to commit kidnap” at Chelmsford magistrates court.
The charges pertain to an alleged online plot to harm the TV star, Holly Willoughby.
Allegations Against Plumb
Gavin Plumb, a father of two, stands accused of conspiring online with an individual in the United States to commit crimes against Holly Willoughby on October 3 and 4.
It is reported that the TV personality became aware of this sinister plot shortly before her live television appearance last week.
As a result, she is expected to remain off the air for as long as she deems necessary.

Shirley Ballas, aged 63, has empathized with Holly Willoughby’s ordeal and disclosed her own apprehensions regarding safety.
Ballas, who has received online death threats in the past related to her decisions as a Strictly judge, spoke candidly about her evolving sense of caution.
Caution in Daily Life
Expressing her thoughts, Ballas stated, “The news about Holly has made me a little bit nervous. Let’s just say, I travel everywhere with caution.
I’m not free as a bird like I used to be. I’m always a little bit cautious about where I’m going, especially if I’m out on my own.”
Acknowledging Current Concerns
Ballas emphasized that in the present climate, concerns for safety are prevalent.
She acknowledged the somber reality of the times, saying, “I would be wrong to say, ‘I don’t worry about it.’
Of course, you do. These are the times that we live in, and I think it’s very sad.”

She had contemplated quitting Strictly due to online threats that not only affected her but also left her fearful of venturing outside her home.

I am not just talking about your phone. I am talking about being in public. You worry about those same strange people that write these kinds of messages.
Are they lurking in dark corners? Are they hiding behind walls when you go somewhere?”
