Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Ends Multibillion-Dollar Lawsuit Against Diageo, Resolving Disputes Over Cîroc Vodka and DeLeón Tequila

Lawsuit Background and Allegations Withdrawn

Last year, Diddy filed a lawsuit against the British brand, asserting that Diageo neglected his tequila line, DeLeón Tequila, and Ciroc Vodka, attributing it to racial bias.

The lawsuit, which sought billions in damages, is now officially dismissed as Diddy has rescinded all his allegations.

The joint statement confirmed that both parties have reached an agreement to resolve their disputes.

Resolution Details and Business Ties Severed

The joint statement released to DailyMail.com stated, ‘Sean Combs and Diageo have now agreed to resolve all disputes between them.’

Combs voluntarily withdrew all allegations against Diageo, leading to the dismissal of his lawsuits with prejudice.

The resolution also signifies the end of any ongoing business relationship between Diddy and Diageo, emphasizing that the alcoholic beverage giant solely owns Cîroc vodka and DeLeón tequila.

Background of the Lawsuit and Attempted Private Resolution

In May 2023, Combs initiated the lawsuit in the New York Supreme Court, alleging that Diageo North America deliberately deprived his brands of resources.

He claimed that race played a role in limiting distribution to urban neighborhoods and that some Diageo leaders resented him for his financial success.

Diageo had attempted to resolve the issue privately before facing legal action.

Settlements and Diddy’s Empire Challenges

This resolution follows Diddy’s recent settlement with Cassie after she sued him for sexual and physical abuse during their past decades-long relationship.

Despite facing three lawsuits for sexual assault, rape, and abuse, Diddy has vehemently denied all claims.

The rapper, choosing to skip the 2024 Grammys due to the severity of the allegations, faces challenges to his billion-dollar empire.
