Mokwele is being recognised for her courage, integrity and commitment to ethical public service while facing significant institutional challenges.

Masemola said the award acknowledged her resilience, professionalism and continued dedication to her responsibilities despite difficulties she has encountered in recent months.

“Brigadier Mokwele’s recognition at the Whistleblower Awards is commendable. Her resilience and steadfast commitment to professionalism in the face of adversity demonstrate the importance of integrity, ethical conduct and accountability in public service. The award recognises her continued work and commitment to public service during a period of scrutiny and difficulty.
