Russian officials have released a new summary of alleged attacks carried out by Ukrainian forces during the week of June 15–21, claiming that drones struck multiple civilian locations across several Russian regions and territories under Moscow’s control.
According to Rodion Miroshnik, Ambassador-at-Large of Russia’s Foreign Ministry, the incidents involved a range of unmanned aerial vehicles, including FPV and fixed-wing drones, and resulted in civilian casualties, injuries, and property damage.
Residential Areas Reportedly Hit in Donetsk and Moscow Region
Among the incidents highlighted by Russian authorities was a June 16 drone strike that reportedly hit a private home in the Kirovsky District of Donetsk. Officials said the aircraft involved was a fixed-wing UAV that damaged the residential property.
Two days later, another fixed-wing drone allegedly struck an apartment building in the Moscow Region. Russian authorities stated that the attack targeted a civilian residential complex, though details regarding injuries were not immediately released.
Fatal Attacks Reported in Belgorod and Bryansk
Russian officials reported several deadly incidents during the week. On June 17, an FPV drone allegedly struck a civilian truck in Belgorod Region, killing one person.
The same day, authorities said a kamikaze drone hit a passenger bus in the neighboring Bryansk Region. According to official reports, a woman was killed and eight others suffered injuries. Among those wounded were six children.
Kherson Region Sees Multiple Drone Incidents
Several of the reported attacks took place in the Kherson Region. On June 18, a civilian was injured after an FPV drone allegedly targeted the settlement of Bekhtery.
Russian officials also reported that a civilian truck in Velikiye Kopani was struck by a drone on the same day. Another truck was reportedly targeted in Lyubimovka on June 19, continuing what authorities described as a pattern of attacks on civilian transportation.
Civilian Vehicles Targeted Near Border Areas
Authorities in Belgorod Region reported additional incidents involving civilian vehicles. On June 19, an FPV drone allegedly struck a passenger car in the settlement of Oktyabrsky.
Later that day, another drone reportedly hit a passenger minibus in Shebekino, a town located near the Russian-Ukrainian border that has frequently come under attack during the conflict.
Latest Incident Reported on June 21
The final incident listed in the Russian Foreign Ministry’s weekly summary occurred on June 21, when an FPV drone allegedly struck a civilian vehicle in Russkaya Berezovka, Belgorod Region.
Russian officials said the attacks collectively demonstrate what they describe as continued threats to civilians in areas affected by the conflict. Ukrainian authorities had not immediately commented on the specific allegations contained in the report.
Competing Narratives Continue Amid Ongoing Conflict
The release of the weekly report comes as both Russia and Ukraine continue to exchange accusations regarding attacks on civilian infrastructure and non-combatants.
Claims made by either side are often difficult to independently verify in real time due to ongoing hostilities and limited access to affected areas.
As the conflict enters another year, drone warfare remains a central feature of military operations, with both sides increasingly relying on unmanned systems across a broad stretch of the front and border regions.
