Rod Stewart cancels six more concerts across Nevada and California as ongoing flu recovery delays his return to the stage

Just when fans were gearing up for Sir Rod Stewart’s long-awaited return to the stage, the iconic rocker has had to pump the brakes once again.

At 80 years old, and still rocking sold-out venues, Rod has been battling a nasty flu — and it’s proving to be tougher to shake than expected.

Six More Shows Postponed in the U.S.

Rod has now cancelled six more concerts in the U.S. this June as he continues to recover.

This comes after already pulling out of two shows earlier this week in Las Vegas on strict doctor’s orders.

He shared the unfortunate update with fans on Instagram, apologizing with heartfelt sincerity:

“I have to cancel and reschedule my next six concerts in June as I continue to recover from the flu.

So sorry, my friends. I’m devastated and sincerely apologise for any inconvenience to my fans. I’ll be back on stage and will see you soon.”

The cancelled performances include four shows in Las Vegas and Stateline, Nevada, plus two in California that he hopes to reschedule.

A Last-Minute Vegas Cancellation

One of the biggest disappointments came just a day before Rod was set to perform at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

The gig, originally scheduled for Thursday, had to be cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice.

Rod posted again on Instagram:

“I’m awfully sorry to have to cancel my show June 5th at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

My doctor ordered a bit more rest while I recover from the flu.

Thanks for your love and understanding.”

Rescheduling in Full Swing

Earlier in the week, Rod had already pushed back a show originally set for Monday.

Fortunately, that one’s now rescheduled for June 10, with tickets still valid for the new date.

He explained:

“I am sorry to inform you that I’m not feeling well and my show tonight at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace is being rescheduled to June 10.

Your tickets will be valid for the new date.”

Vocal Rest and Glastonbury on the Horizon

The timing couldn’t be more critical, as Rod is on his extensive One Last Time Tour — and in just a few weeks, he’s due to perform at one of the biggest gigs of all: Glastonbury Festival.

Slated to play the prestigious Sunday afternoon “Legends Slot” on the Pyramid Stage in Somerset, fans are holding out hope that he’ll be back on his feet in time.

Rod’s team hasn’t made any changes to the Glastonbury date yet, but with vocal rest in place and a few weeks to recover, it looks like he’s doing everything he can to be ready for the festival crowd.

Hoping for a Speedy Comeback

With decades of unforgettable hits and millions of loyal fans, Sir Rod Stewart is certainly no stranger to life on the road.

But even rock legends need rest. As the star takes a bit more time to recover, fans around the world are flooding his posts with well wishes and hoping to see him back, healthy and singing again soon.
