Queen Camilla Radiates Warmth in Bath: Celebrating St John’s Foundation’s 850th Anniversary
In a jubilant appearance, Queen Camilla, wife of King [King’s Name], exuded grace and warmth as she visited Bath to commemorate the 850th anniversary of the St John’s Foundation.
The 76-year-old Queen, adorned in a navy coat, leather gloves, and chic knee-high boots, braved the winter chill for her visit to the almshouses at the Chapel of St Michael Within, nestled inside St John’s courtyard.

Wrapped up warmly, Queen Camilla added a vibrant touch to her ensemble with a bright patterned scarf and dazzling earrings.
As the Patron of St John’s Foundation since 2009, she appeared eager to engage with the elderly residents of the almshouses over a cup of tea.

The Queen’s appearance follows her husband’s recent three-night stay in the hospital for a successful procedure addressing an enlarged prostate.
The King, discharged from The London Clinic, seemed in good spirits, and the Queen, at the Royal Free Hospital in London, shared that he is ‘getting on’ and ‘doing his best.’
The Legacy of St John’s Foundation:
St John’s Foundation, originally established as a medieval refuge, serves as a haven and support for older adults while also collaborating with children to ensure a positive start in life.
The Queen, greeted by notable figures including the Lord Lieutenant, charity’s chair Ben Fletcher, and CEO David Hobdey, visited the 16th Century Chapel of St Michael Within.
Service of Celebration and Community Engagement:
Her Majesty shared tea with around nine of the charity’s residents in the historic chapel. Subsequently, she met members of the public before attending a Service of Celebration at Bath Abbey.
Nearly 900 school children from seven primary schools, supported by St John’s since the launch of its Foundation Fund in 2020, warmly welcomed the Queen.
Voices for Life Choir and Commemoration:
During the service, the Voices for Life choir, comprising ninety Year 4 pupils, delivered enchanting performances.
Her Majesty unveiled a commemorative plaque, symbolizing the enduring impact of St John’s Foundation, which will be placed in the courtyard of the Chapel Court almshouses.
