According to the latest reports, a police officer who was filmed kicking a man in the face during an arrest has been removed from active duty.
However, Greater Manchester Police clarified that the officer hasn’t been suspended yet.
The unsettling video, which surfaced on Wednesday afternoon, shows a young man on the ground, his hands behind his back after being Tasered.
In the footage, an officer is seen kicking him in the face and then seemingly stamping on the back of his head.
Nearby, a woman believed to be a relative watches in shock. As she tries to check on the men, a female officer forcefully pushes her away.
The footage reveals even more chaos, including the arrest of additional men at the same location.
It turns out that multiple officers were assaulted while responding to an incident in Terminal 2 the day before.
One officer suffered a broken nose, and others were injured.
Greater Manchester Police has referred itself to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) for review.
The incident reportedly began with an assault report, leading to the arrest of several individuals suspected of various offenses including assault and obstructing police.
The footage, which emerged the day after the incident, shows a man in blue shorts and a blue top being restrained, with officers wrestling another man to the ground.
Witnesses Speak Out
Amar Rafiq, who filmed the incident, was returning from Qatar when he saw the chaos unfold.
He described his shock at seeing the officer kick the man and noted that the situation caused widespread panic among onlookers.
According to Rafiq, there were at least ten officers at the scene, and everyone was hurriedly moved away from the area.

Additional videos circulating online show police cornering a group of people and making arrests.
It’s unclear whether these videos are related to the initial incident or occurred separately.
Assistant Chief Constable Wasim Chaudhry has acknowledged the alarm caused by the footage, emphasizing that such use of force is rare and troubling.
Ongoing Concerns
The police force has faced criticism for their handling of the situation.
Former Chief Prosecutor Nazir Afzal expressed concerns over the officer’s actions, questioning the justification for the violent response. Manchester Airport has yet to comment on the incident.
