In a letter addressed to the Visitor to the University, and copied to the Vice-Chancellor, the Commission’s Director of Accreditation, Dr Maryam Sali, said the approval which includes Public Administration and Transport Management is the result of an exercise conducted in the University late last year by the Commission as part of its statutory mandate to accredit academic programmes in the nation’s Universities.

The letter stated further that the full accreditation is for a period of five years.

Commenting on the result, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Abu Kasim Adamu appreciated the efforts of the Niger State Government under the leadership of the Visitor to the University, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello for the financial support given to the University for the exercise and looking forward to the next support which will involve more programmes.
