New Chief of Defence Intelligence Assumes Office, Vows to Combat Criminal Elements and Enhance National Security

The outgoing CDI, Maj. Gen. Samuel Adebayo, formally handed over the command of the DIA to Undiandeye during a ceremony held at the agency’s headquarters.

A Strong Warning to Criminals

Following the retirement and replacement of Service Chiefs, President Bola Tinubu appointed Maj.-Gen. Emmanuel Undiandeye as the new Chief of Defence Intelligence.

In his first official address, Undiandeye delivered a stern warning to criminals and individuals plotting evil against the country, urging them to abandon such intentions immediately.

He cautioned that failure would not be tolerated under President Tinubu’s leadership and emphasized that criminals would face dire consequences.

Strengthening Intelligence and Ensuring Security

Undiandeye emphasized the need to enhance intelligence gathering to thwart the plans of adversaries such as bandits, terrorists, and other criminals.

He called upon officers in the intelligence community to utilize available resources effectively, ensuring that Nigerians can sleep peacefully without fear.

Undiandeye stated that failure was not an option, emphasizing the importance of securing the lives and well-being of the citizens.

Undiandeye urged officers to go beyond the ordinary call of duty to fulfill their responsibilities.
