Ndlovu Youth Choir aim to inspire with new star-studded album ‘Grateful’

Ndlovu Youth Choir released their third studio album, Grateful on Friday 29 April. The album featured original songs like the title track of the album and exceptional covers like Adele’s Easy On Me and Michael Jackson’s classic hit, Main In The Mirror. Following the incredible success of the album, the talented choir is gearing up for a national tour which will possibly kick off in June or July.

‘GRATEFUL’

For their 14-track album, Ndlovu Youth Choir featured five original songs and nine covers. The album features Pretoria-based rapper 25K, Sun-El Musician, Tyler ICU and the National Choirs of Great Britain.

Speaking to Channel24, choirmaster Ralf Schmitt said the album took the Ndlovu Youth Choir out of their “traditional comfort zone”.

“The Grateful album is a way for us to thank everyone for their love and support over the years. We hope and pray that this album will inspire the youth to be the best they can be and remind the world to give young people a chance whenever and wherever they can,” said the choir.

One of the Ndlovu Youth Choir’s covers includes Tyler ICU and Nicole Elocin’s amapiano hit, Bella Ciao.
