Russian forces have carried out strikes against transport and energy infrastructure that Moscow says was being used by Ukrainian military units, according to Russia’s Defense Ministry.
The ministry said the attacks formed part of operations across multiple areas of Ukraine, involving tactical aircraft, attack drones, missile forces and artillery.
Moscow Reports Attacks on Drone Facilities
Russia’s Defense Ministry also claimed that its forces struck facilities involved in assembling and storing long-range unmanned aircraft and unmanned boats.
According to the ministry, temporary deployment locations used by Ukrainian troops and foreign military personnel were also targeted.
The Russian military said strikes were conducted across 159 areas, although the claims were not independently verified in the report.
Russia Announces Capture of Two Settlements
Moscow also reported territorial gains during the previous 24-hour period.
Russia’s Battlegroup North was said to have captured Kudievka in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region, while Battlegroup South reportedly took control of Pershomaryevka in the Donetsk People’s Republic, a territory Russia claims to have annexed.
The Defense Ministry described the operations as separate offensive advances by the two Russian formations.
Moscow Claims Heavy Ukrainian Losses
Russia’s Defense Ministry estimated that Ukrainian forces suffered approximately 1,390 personnel losses across the frontline during the preceding 24 hours.
The ministry attributed the reported casualties to several Russian military groupings operating in different sectors.
Battlegroup North was credited with inflicting losses of up to 200 Ukrainian troops, while Battlegroup West reportedly caused more than 210 casualties.
Russian Military Reports Losses Across Multiple Fronts
According to the Russian figures, Battlegroup South inflicted up to 250 Ukrainian casualties, while Battlegroup Center reported more than 365.
Battlegroup East was credited with more than 330 Ukrainian losses, and Battlegroup Dnepr reported up to 35.
The figures were released by Russia’s Defense Ministry and could not be independently verified.
Strikes Continue as Fighting Remains Intense
The latest Russian claims point to continued fighting across multiple sectors of the war, with Moscow saying it is concentrating attacks on infrastructure and military facilities supporting Ukrainian operations.
The reported strikes on energy, transport and drone-related facilities come as both sides continue relying heavily on long-range weapons and unmanned systems.
Ukraine has not been quoted in the report confirming the extent of the damage or the casualty figures claimed by Moscow.
