South African Police Service (SAPS) spokesperson Sergeant Fekiswa Matoti said the deceased’s identity is unknown.
“The Police were informed about the deceased’ body and on their arrival at the scene. They met with a security officer who showed where the body was,” said Matoti in a statement on 29 April.
The deceased was found by two passersby on 28 October 2020 at 11:40. They told the security guard about the body, which was facing up with a gunshot wound to the forehead.

The police noted that a black Huawei cellphone was lying on the ground next to the body.
The motive for the killing is yet to be established but a murder case has been opened for investigation.
