Resident’s Alarming Kidnapping Escape Sparks Urgent Warning in Abuja
A Nigerian man, who narrowly escaped a kidnapping attempt in Lugbe, Abuja, issued a harrowing warning to Federal Capital Territory (FCT) residents, urging extra caution and the avoidance of late-night movements.
Terrifying Incident Unfolds on Wednesday Night
The unsettling incident took place on Wednesday night around 10:30 pm, as the resident made a miraculous escape from suspected kidnappers just outside his estate at Lugbe, en route Penthouse and Elsalem estate.
Brave Escape Amidst Gunfire and Bullet Wound
Recalling the chilling details, the survivor shared a photo of his blood-stained thigh, revealing that he was blocked by the assailants’ car on his lane.
However, with courage, he reversed and drove through them, enduring gunfire. A bullet penetrated the door behind the driver’s seat, striking him on the left side.
Urgent Plea for Caution and Vigilance
In a plea to fellow residents, he emphasized the need for extra caution and avoidance of late-night movements, cautioning that these perilous individuals are rampant throughout the city.
Police’s Special Intervention Squad Reacts with Show of Force
In response to the surge in kidnapping attacks in the Federal Capital Territory, the Nigeria Police Force’s Special Intervention Squad (SIS) launched a show of force exercise on Wednesday night.
The move is part of an ongoing effort to restore normalcy to the nation’s capital.
