Stevan Ridley, a former National Football League (NFL) running back, recently shared a video that captured the moments leading up to comedian Kevin Hart’s muscle injury. The video, which was uploaded on Instagram, features Ridley and Hart engaging in a 40-yard dash on a street. The caption accompanying the videos read, “Gotcha?? Whoa! Got who?”

The context for this playful competition was a debate between Ridley and Hart about who was faster, as mentioned in a post on Hart’s Instagram account. Ridley, who had played in the NFL for five different teams over one season, including the New England Patriots and the Atlanta Falcons, emerges as the consistent victor in the race, while Hart begins to tire and experience an unexpected issue.

During the race, Hart suffered tears in his lower abdominal and hip abductor muscles. Last week, Hart shared a post on Instagram revealing that he had torn several muscles while competing against Ridley. The video shows Hart in a wheelchair as a result of his injuries.

In a statement attached to his Instagram post, Hart humorously acknowledges the challenges of reaching the age of 40, indicating that it’s a milestone that should be respected. He playfully admits that his current predicament is due to attempting activities more suited to younger years.

Ridley reacted to Hart’s post by sharing it on his Instagram story and humorously referencing NFL quarterback Tom Brady’s age-defying feats, suggesting that Hart, like Brady, had the “juice” to tackle challenges regardless of age. Ridley also extended well wishes to Hart, urging him to heal up and continue spreading laughter.
