Katie Price is experiencing yet another setback this week as her Easter pantomime tour of Pinocchio has been forced to slash ticket prices by 50%.
The former glamour model, now 46, is taking on the role of Fairy in the adult-only production, alongside 90s TV star Bobby Davro.
While Price is set to perform at The Deco Theatre in Northampton on Monday night, after already performing in Clacton and Sevenoaks over the weekend, her star power doesn’t seem to be enough to draw in the crowds.
Ticket Prices Slashed Amid Low Attendance
Despite her fame, a number of tickets are still left unsold for her upcoming shows at The Elgiva Theatre in Buckinghamshire on April 14.
In an attempt to boost sales, the venue has already reduced ticket prices.
Theatre-goers can now get a second ticket for half price when purchasing one full-price ticket.
Seating charts show large sections of empty seats still available for the performance, indicating that the show hasn’t attracted the anticipated audience.
Katie Price Speaks Out About Leaving Mucky Mansion
In other news, Katie Price recently spoke out about why she claims she had to leave her former family home, the infamous Mucky Mansion, in May of last year.
While reports at the time suggested Katie was evicted due to bankruptcy issues, she has always denied these claims.
Instead, Katie insists that she voluntarily handed back the keys to the property after a troubling fly-tipping incident on her land.
A Promising Dream Turned Sour
Katie detailed how she became involved with a man named Andrew Chatters, who proposed transforming her property into a wedding venue.
Chatters promised her a grand transformation, which included stables, a gallop track, and even a brand-new five-bedroom house.
However, things took a turn for the worse when she discovered that not everything was as it seemed.
“I started to realize something wasn’t right when I went out to the fields one day and saw what looked like a mess, not a gallop track,” Katie explained.
It was then that people began messaging her, warning that she was involved with a fraudster.
She later learned that Chatters had a criminal background, including two prison sentences for tax fraud offenses.
The Consequences of Fly-Tipping
Katie shared that Chatters had left her with a fly-tipping problem on her land, with the council demanding that she clean up the mess at a cost of around £800,000.
“It wasn’t me who did it,” she explained, “but I was left with the mess.”
Eventually, Katie decided that the situation was too much to handle, and she chose to give the keys back to the property and walk away from it.
A Bitter Loss
While it was initially reported that Katie was evicted for not paying her mortgage, she later confirmed that she had sold the property for a fraction of its original asking price.
The nine-bedroom home, which had been listed for £1.5 million, was sold for £1.15 million. Unfortunately for Katie, the sale proceeds were swallowed up by the debts she had accumulated on the property.
Katie has since moved into a new four-bedroom home in Sussex.
