ITV Viewers Question Radford Kids’ School Absence During This Morning Appearance to Discuss Their New Family-Focused TV Show and Sue’s Upcoming 50th Birthday Celebration Plans

When the Radford family, Britain’s largest family, appeared on This Morning last Thursday, viewers had plenty to say.

The family—Noel, 54, Sue, 49, their children, and grandchildren—joined hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard to chat about their latest TV venture, 22 Kids and A Wedding.

However, while the segment was meant to promote the show, fans couldn’t help but focus on one detail: the Radford kids’ absence from school.

A Milestone Celebration

During the appearance, Sue Radford shared her excitement about an upcoming milestone—her 50th birthday.

She remarked, “Turning 50, you’ve got to make the most of it. You’ve got to go big, haven’t you?”

Noel, chiming in, revealed their plans for the special occasion, saying, “Ideally, we would love to get away on our own, just the two of us. But we do want to do a big family holiday. Everybody. Grandkids. Just everyone.”

Noel estimated the group would total around 35 people.

The conversation turned to whether they had ever taken such a large group away before, with Noel admitting that the biggest gathering had been 26.

“It’s alright,” he said, adding that they usually prefer renting a villa to avoid the chaos of hotel stays.

School Absence Sparks Criticism

While the family’s plans were well-received, many viewers were quick to point out that the Radford kids were missing school that day.

Social media lit up with criticism, with one person writing, “I see the kids have had a day off school… #ThisMorning,” and others echoing similar concerns about the children’s education.

One user even angrily remarked, “Why tf does this country give a platform to nobodies, more trash stealing a living, kids not even in school!!!”

Sue’s Birthday Plans and Family Vacation

Sue had previously shared details about the family’s holiday plans for her milestone birthday.

Speaking to The Mirror, she mentioned, “We are going to do a big 50th holiday with all the kids and the grandkids, to Disney. We will go in the Easter break. The kids all love it, and the grandkids do too.”

She also revealed they planned to take a more intimate vacation, just the two of them.

“That will be nice,” she added.

The couple, who married in 1992, has 22 children—ranging from 35-year-old Chris to 4-year-old Heidie.

Tragically, their son Alfie, born in 2014, was stillborn.

From Fame to TV Shows

The Radford family first garnered attention in 2012 when they appeared on the Channel 4 documentary 15 Kids and Counting.

Since then, they’ve been featured in several TV series, including 22 Kids and Counting, which gives viewers an inside look into their life with such a large family.

The family’s newest show, 22 Kids and A Wedding, will focus on their daughter Millie’s upcoming wedding to Harley Passmore.

The Radfords excitedly shared the news of their new series on Instagram at the beginning of January, encouraging fans to tune in for the premiere.

“Happy new year everyone,” they wrote alongside a promotional image for the show, which airs on Channel 5 Sundays at 8pm.

Fan Excitement

Fans were thrilled by the announcement, with many expressing their eagerness to watch the new show.

One excited viewer commented, “So excited!!” while another admitted, “Cannot wait to see this!”

Others left messages like, “Happy new year to you all at @theradfordfamily house… Can’t wait to see you back on my screen this Sunday.”

The family also shared a glimpse into their extravagant Christmas morning, with presents totaling over £3,000.

Fans can catch the Radfords on This Morning, weekdays at 10am on ITV, or stream the show on ITVX.
