A Love Island Star’s Halloween Costume Mishap
Love Island star Tyrique Hyde faced an embarrassing Halloween mishap when he needed assistance from a fire crew to get out of his costume.
The 24-year-old footballer, who had previously appeared on the ITV dating show, dressed up as the iconic Batman character, The Joker, for the spooky occasion.
From Costume Fun to Wardrobe Malfunction
As Tyrique Hyde celebrated Halloween on Tuesday night, things took an unexpected turn.
While he was living it up in his Joker ensemble, he encountered a wardrobe malfunction that led to a visit to the Accident & Emergency (A&E) department.
A Desperate Trip to A&E
Doctors at the A&E department couldn’t provide the solution Tyrique needed for his predicament. Instead, they directed him to the fire station for assistance.
The situation was dire, as Tyrique’s finger was “turning green” due to a costume jewelry ring that had become firmly stuck, cutting off circulation to his finger.
Sharing the Spooky Tale on TikTok
Tyrique chose to share his Halloween misadventure with his followers on TikTok. In a video posted on the social media platform, he explained the unusual turn of events, highlighting the bizarre situation he found himself in.
A Ring Stuck and a Race Against Time
Tyrique recounted how the ring got trapped on his finger while he was in costume as The Joker. Despite initial panic, he made his way to A&E for help.
Unfortunately, the hospital lacked the necessary tools to free his finger from the ring. It wasn’t until 6 a.m. that he found himself at the fire station, where efforts were made to release him from the troublesome jewelry.
From Love Island to Football Pitch
While Tyrique Hyde had achieved fame as a Love Island contestant, he also revealed that he had returned to his day job as a semi-professional footballer.
He now plays as a midfielder for Dartford, marking a return to the pitch after his Love Island experience. The team expressed their warm welcome for Tyrique as he rejoined their ranks, and he embraced his role as a coach, signaling a new chapter in his career.
