The Israeli military has announced a series of targeted operations in the Gaza Strip that it says resulted in the deaths of several Hamas operatives and commanders accused of planning attacks, supplying weapons, and rebuilding the group’s military capabilities.
According to statements released by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), the strikes were carried out in different areas of Gaza over recent days as part of ongoing efforts to neutralize individuals considered immediate security threats to Israeli civilians and military personnel.
Commanders Accused of Weapons Smuggling Eliminated
Among those identified by the IDF were Hani Abd al-Hai Fakhri Mazloum, described as a Nukhba company commander, and Hassan Zidan Hassan Deiri, identified as a Hamas sniper.
The military alleged that both men played roles in the trafficking and distribution of weapons to Hamas operatives. Israeli officials said the pair were actively involved in activities that posed an imminent threat, prompting the operation that resulted in their deaths.
Strike Targets October 7 Infiltration Participant
In a separate announcement, the IDF said it had killed Abd al-Fattah Abu al-Eish, whom it described as a Hamas Nukhba commander who allegedly infiltrated Israel during the October 7 attacks.
The military also identified Raed Adel Mohammed Alyan as another target in the same operation. According to the IDF, both men were involved in advancing planned attacks and working to restore Hamas’ operational capabilities. Israeli authorities further accused the operatives of violating existing ceasefire arrangements through their activities.
Operation Conducted in Central Gaza
The Israeli military also reported the death of Hassam Osama Hussein Nasir, a member of Hamas’ military wing, during an operation in the Deir al-Balah area of central Gaza.
Israeli officials stated that Nasir had been involved in planning and advancing attacks against both Israeli civilians and military forces. The military said the strike was carried out to prevent further threats attributed to him.
Additional Nukhba Operatives Named
In another announcement, the IDF identified Yasser Abu al-Khair and Mohammed al-Din as Nukhba operatives affiliated with Hamas’ military wing.
According to the military, the two men were engaged in activities aimed at rebuilding the organization’s capabilities while also supporting attacks against Israeli troops. Israeli officials said the operation was intended to remove what they described as an ongoing threat.
Ongoing Campaign Against Hamas Infrastructure
The latest announcements form part of Israel’s broader military campaign against Hamas, which has continued through a combination of airstrikes and targeted operations across the Gaza Strip.
