Friends of Imo State Governor Raise N1 Billion for His Re-Election Bid
Supporters and friends of Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, have gathered and donated around N1 billion to aid his re-election campaign for the upcoming month’s election.
The fundraising event took place on Thursday night at the Landmark Event Centre in Owerri, Imo State.
Among the prominent donors were individuals and representatives of various companies, including Dr. Johnbosco Ozigbo, Sir Bennett Nwokejiobi, Chief Tony Chukwu, Prince Charles Amadi, Eze Imo, HRM EC Okeke, and several others.
A Show of Support for the Governor’s Leadership
These contributors expressed their motivation to financially support Governor Uzodinma’s re-election because they believe in his exemplary leadership qualities and wish to be part of the historical legacy he is building for the state.
In his remarks, Governor Uzodinma expressed his humility in the face of the commendations and substantial funds raised during the event.
He acknowledged the challenge this support poses and expressed his determination to do even more for the state.
Supporting a Governor’s Achievements
Sen. Osita Izunaso, the Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the event, emphasized that the governor’s friends are convinced of his accomplishments and believe he deserves a second term in office.
General Azubuike Ihejirika (retd), the Chairman of the occasion, expressed gratitude to the convener and all of the governor’s supporters.
He made it clear that their support is based on the governor’s positive impact in Imo State rather than merely supporting him as an individual.
