New details about the relationship between Gypsy-Rose Blanchard and her late former partner, Ken Urker, have emerged following his death at the age of 34, including allegations of volatile arguments, concerns about their daughter’s custody and the impact of online harassment.

Urker’s sister, Autumn, has spoken publicly about what she described as a difficult period in her brother’s life, saying she wants to protect his reputation and bring attention to the pressure he allegedly experienced.

Her comments come as authorities continue investigating Urker’s death in Louisiana. No official cause of death has been released, and no criminal charges have been announced in connection with the case.

The developments have also brought renewed attention to a recorded conversation in which Blanchard reportedly described an explosive argument with Urker in September 2025.

Recorded Conversation Details Alleged Jealousy-Fuelled Outburst

According to a recording obtained by the Daily Mail, Blanchard discussed a confrontation with Urker during a conversation with Amelia Bird, an incarcerated friend.

Blanchard reportedly said she became furious after discovering a card that Urker had allegedly written to a former girlfriend. She described drinking vodka, tequila, rum and whiskey before returning to their home and damaging several belongings.

During the conversation, she said she took a kitchen knife and stabbed the headboard of their bed, carving an insulting word into it. She also described leaving a note directed at Urker, smashing a framed photograph of the couple, scattering their prison correspondence and cutting up a blanket.

Blanchard reportedly said she then sent angry messages and went to her parents’ home while heavily intoxicated.

The Daily Mail also reported obtaining video footage in which Blanchard can be seen shouting and cutting up a blanket while expressing anger over alleged lies.

These accounts are based on the recording and footage described by the publication. They do not, on their own, establish any connection between the incident and Urker’s subsequent death.

Urker Allegedly Threatened to Seek Sole Custody

In the recorded conversation, Blanchard reportedly said Urker photographed the damage after returning home and threatened to pursue sole custody of their daughter, Aurora.

According to her account, he also said she would not be allowed to spend time with the child without supervision.

Blanchard acknowledged during the conversation that people close to her believed her behaviour had frightened Urker. She also recognised that her criminal history could make others particularly concerned about the incident.

She reportedly expressed regret over her actions and said she had been trying to obtain professional help, while acknowledging uncertainty about the future of her relationship with Urker.

Autumn told the Daily Mail that she later learned about the incident and became concerned about her brother and his daughter. She said she questioned why the situation had apparently been set aside.

According to Autumn, her brother initially dismissed the incident as something that had happened months earlier.

Sister Says Online Harassment Left Urker Under Pressure

Autumn alleged that her brother experienced sustained online abuse, including death threats and the disclosure of personal information, commonly known as doxxing.

She said the public scrutiny intensified after private prison phone calls between Urker and Blanchard began circulating online.

Autumn claimed that the leaked conversations left her brother feeling humiliated and contributed to the stress he was already experiencing.

She also said Urker slept with a gun nearby because of the threats he had received online, clarifying that she did not believe he was doing so because he feared Blanchard would physically harm him.

The allegations offer the family’s account of the pressure Urker reportedly faced, but the extent of the online harassment and its role in the events surrounding his death have not been independently established.

Relationship Breakdown Followed Renewed Attention on Prison Calls

Autumn said she believed her brother’s relationship with Blanchard deteriorated for several reasons, including disagreements over his dog, Parker, and the release of the prison recordings.

She claimed Urker began distancing himself from Blanchard after listening to the leaked calls and eventually decided to end the relationship.

According to his sister, however, he did not want to cut Blanchard off from their daughter entirely. Instead, she alleged that he wanted to retain custody because he had concerns about allowing the child to be with Blanchard unsupervised.

Autumn said she had warned her brother that the earlier outburst could escalate, but claimed he did not share her level of concern at the time.

She also acknowledged that raising those concerns contributed to tensions between her and Urker.

Family Divided Over Blanchard’s Role in Funeral Arrangements

The aftermath of Urker’s death has exposed differences within his family over how to approach Blanchard.

Autumn said some relatives invited Blanchard to Urker’s viewing and planned funeral, but alleged that their decision was influenced by concerns about maintaining access to Aurora.

She told the Daily Mail that her mother had been upset and worried that conflict with Blanchard could affect whether she was allowed to see the child.

Autumn said she was not ready to make peace with Blanchard, although she hoped her anger would eventually ease. She also expressed regret at arriving too late for the viewing, saying she had said her goodbyes from the parking lot and intended to attend the funeral.

The publication said it had contacted Urker’s mother, Raina Williams, for comment.

Police Investigation Continues as Cause of Death Remains Unknown

Urker’s body was found at his Louisiana home on October 1. According to the account published by the Daily Mail, police found syringes, a spoon, a holstered handgun and a brown powdery substance nearby.

An official cause of death has not been released, with toxicology and autopsy findings still pending at the time of the report.

The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office confirmed that an investigation was ongoing and that authorities were aware of the earlier headboard incident. A public information officer told the publication that the office had no record of receiving a report about that incident the previous year.

The officer also said that, if another jurisdiction had been contacted, charges would not have been filed in a case involving damage to property where no individual was injured.

Autumn said she and other relatives were cooperating with investigators. She also disputed suggestions that her brother had intended to end his life, saying she did not believe he would do so because of his love for his daughter and family.

Those statements reflect the family’s views and do not determine the cause or circumstances of Urker’s death.

Sister Questions Suicide Speculation and Discusses Possible Accidental Overdose

Autumn strongly objected to public speculation that Urker had died by suicide, saying such claims were painful for those who knew and loved him.

She told the Daily Mail that she had spoken to her brother by telephone the night before his 34th birthday. During that conversation, she said they discussed plans for children in the family to contact him by FaceTime the following day.

Autumn denied believing that he had a substance abuse problem, although she acknowledged that he sometimes drank alcohol and might have used drugs recreationally.

She speculated that an accidental overdose or exposure to a substance containing fentanyl could be one possible explanation, but no toxicology findings have confirmed that theory.

A source described as a friend of both Urker and Blanchard also told the publication that they did not believe Urker would have taken his own life, citing his love for Aurora.

Investigators have not publicly confirmed suicide, an overdose or any other specific cause of death.

Blanchard Launches Anti-Cyberbullying Petition in Urker’s Memory

Despite their strained relationship, Autumn said she supported Blanchard’s petition to establish what she calls “Kenan’s Law”, an initiative intended to address cyberbullying.

However, she criticised Blanchard for leading the campaign, saying she was uncomfortable with the former reality television personality taking that role. Autumn also objected to the use of Aurora’s photograph in connection with the petition.

Blanchard paid tribute to Urker on Instagram the day after his death, describing him as her greatest love story and saying he would always be remembered and loved.

Blanchard served prison time after being convicted in 2016 of second-degree murder in the death of her mother, Claudine “Dee Dee” Blanchard. She was released in December 2023.

The Daily Mail said it had contacted Blanchard’s representatives for comment.

Questions Remain as Family Seeks Answers

The allegations surrounding the couple’s relationship, the reported online harassment and the competing interpretations of Urker’s final days have drawn renewed public attention to his death.

Autumn says she wants to protect her brother’s dignity and look out for Aurora, while Blanchard has publicly mourned Urker and promoted an anti-cyberbullying campaign in his memory.

For now, the circumstances of Urker’s death remain unresolved. Authorities are continuing their investigation, and the official findings will be essential to establishing what happened.
