American rapper Finesse2Tymes has revealed a major change in his personal life, saying he has left behind his previously public polyamorous lifestyle and is now committed to a single partner.

The Memphis-born artist, whose real name is Ricky Hampton, confirmed during an interview on SiriusXM’s Hip Hop Nation that he is no longer juggling multiple relationships and is fully devoted to his girlfriend, FNG Shugga.

“I cut it out. I’m a one-woman man,” the rapper said, marking a significant shift from the lifestyle that frequently made headlines.

From Viral Relationships to Public Commitment

Finesse2Tymes’ romantic life has often attracted as much attention as his music.

At one point, the rapper openly dated three women simultaneously—BBJay, Nia Love and FNG Shugga—drawing widespread discussion on social media.

However, after ending his relationships with BBJay and later Nia Love, he has chosen to remain exclusively with Shugga.

Before those relationships, he was also romantically linked to rapper Erica Banks.

Their breakup became public after Finesse2Tymes claimed their relationship ended because he felt neglected, while Banks responded that he expected a partner to behave more like a servant than an equal.

Memphis Rapper Continues to Build His Career

Born on June 10, 1992, in Memphis, Tennessee, Finesse2Tymes launched his music career alongside fellow Memphis artists Moneybagg Yo and Blac Youngsta as part of the collective Memphis Greatest Underrated.

The group released a collaborative EP in 2016 before Hampton shifted his focus to solo music.

His breakthrough came with the release of Hustle & Flow in 2019, an EP that arrived while he was serving a federal prison sentence.

After regaining his freedom in 2022, he quickly returned to recording, releasing successful singles including Back End, Get Even and Goin’ Straight In.

Record Deals and High-Profile Collaborations

Finesse2Tymes’ comeback gained further momentum when he signed with Moneybagg Yo’s Bread Gang label in 2022 before entering a joint venture involving Mob Ties and Atlantic Records.

Later that year, he released the album 90 Days, featuring collaborations with established names such as Gucci Mane, Lil Baby, Moneybagg Yo and producer Tay Keith.

His growing catalogue now includes tracks such as CEO, Black Visa, Rules to the Streets, Mob Tied, Understanding, Crazy and Can’t Go To Jail.

Family Life Remains an Important Part of His Story

Away from music, Finesse2Tymes has been open about his role as a father.

The rapper has confirmed that he has five biological children with five different women, although he keeps most of them away from the public spotlight.

His son, Lil King, has occasionally appeared on social media, while one of his daughters is reported to be with Audrey Webb.

He also welcomed another child, Clever, during his relationship with FNG Shugga in 2024.

During previous interviews, Hampton spoke candidly about the emotional impact of being separated from his children while serving time in prison, explaining that he wanted them to meet him after he had changed his life.

Prison Sentence Became a Turning Point

The rapper’s legal troubles have also been well documented.

He was arrested in 2017 following a nightclub shooting connected to one of his performances in Arkansas.

Although no fatalities were reported in the incident, he was later sentenced to five years in federal prison on a weapons charge in 2018.

Following his release in 2022, he resumed his career and quickly re-established himself in hip-hop.

In 2023, he also faced allegations involving the late return of a rental vehicle, though the theft-related charges were later dropped.

Focus Extends Beyond Music

Over the past two years, Finesse2Tymes has also shared his fitness journey with fans.

The rapper has regularly posted workout sessions and discussed changes to his diet while working toward weight loss.

He has acknowledged that improving his health has been mentally as well as physically demanding and frequently encourages followers to stay active.

Looking Ahead

Now 34 years old, Finesse2Tymes appears to be entering a new phase of both his personal and professional life.

With successful singles, major label partnerships and a renewed focus on family and health, the rapper continues to evolve beyond the headlines that once centred largely on his relationships.

As fans await new music, many will also be watching to see how this latest chapter shapes the next stage of his career.
