Now this should be applied in the US as soon as possible.”

The decision was based on a study that found the risks associated with the treatment to be substantial while its benefits were very narrow.

Health Secretary Wes Streeting has expressed cautious support for the ruling and is working with the NHS to establish a clinical trial on puberty blockers. He emphasized the need for evidence-based approaches in children’s healthcare, particularly for vulnerable groups.
