Elizabeth Hurley has given fans a glamorous glimpse of her summer finale, sharing a series of photos in which she confidently posed in a striped bikini.

The actress, 61, appeared to be in a celebratory mood as she reflected on the season, describing it as the “best summer ever” while hinting that an exciting new chapter is about to begin.

Actress Hints at Major New Television Role

Hurley accompanied the Instagram post with the caption, “Bye bye to the best summer ever ♥️ New chapter about to begin #TheBurbs,” offering fans a subtle clue about her next professional move.

Her post came as news broke that she has joined the second season of Peacock’s comedy series The Burbs as a regular cast member.

Hurley is set to portray Beverly Fish, the mother of Rob Fisher, a character played by British comedian Jack Whitehall.

The Burbs Brings a Cult Classic Back to Television

The series is based on the 1989 cult comedy film starring Tom Hanks.

The story centres on a young couple who return to the husband’s childhood home in suburbia, where their seemingly ordinary surroundings become increasingly suspicious.

The television adaptation has attracted attention with its blend of comedy, suburban intrigue and neighbourly paranoia, with Hurley now becoming part of its expanding cast.

A Glamorous Summer With Billy Ray Cyrus

Hurley’s summer has also included plenty of time away from the spotlight with boyfriend Billy Ray Cyrus.

The actress recently joined Cyrus, her son Damian Hurley and longtime friend Joan Collins for a holiday at Collins’ villa in St Tropez.

Hurley described the trip as an “enchanting holiday” while thanking Collins and her husband Percy for their hospitality.

Joan Collins Shares Fun From Their St Tropez Getaway

Collins, 93, also offered followers a glimpse into the gathering, sharing photographs and videos from their time together.

One clip showed the group enjoying lunch at Le Club 55, the celebrity-favourite restaurant, where Collins appeared stylish in a wide-brimmed hat and blue-striped dress.

Joking about the gathering, Collins gestured towards Hurley and quipped that she was with “all my friends” and that they were “all spending her money.”

Hurley responded affectionately, calling Collins “mummy dearest,” prompting the veteran actress to jokingly tell her to “forget the mummy.”

A Friendship That Has Lasted for Decades

The relationship between Hurley and Collins stretches back many years.

The pair previously worked together on the E! drama series The Royals, where they portrayed mother and daughter.

Their long-standing friendship has continued away from the screen, with Collins welcoming Hurley and her family to her St Tropez home during the summer.

Collins’ Longstanding Connection to St Tropez

Collins has owned her five-bedroom St Tropez property since the early 1990s and has reportedly spent several months there each summer for more than three decades.

The villa has become a regular setting for the actress to entertain friends, with Hurley among those enjoying the Mediterranean retreat this year.

Joan Collins Opens Up About Staying Fit

Alongside the holiday photos, attention has also returned to Collins’ approach to maintaining her appearance as she has grown older.

The actress has previously said that she has largely avoided cosmetic procedures, revealing that she once tried Botox but disliked the result because, as an actress, she wanted to retain facial expression.

Collins has instead credited moderation with helping her maintain her figure, saying she eats considerably less now than she did when she was younger.

Her Simple Approach to Dieting

In comments reported by The Express, Collins said people should focus on eating less rather than following restrictive diets.

She also offered a simple short-term approach for losing a few pounds, mentioning boiled eggs and broccoli.

The veteran star has said she hopes to reach 100 while continuing to look after her health and skin.

For Hurley, meanwhile, the end of a memorable summer appears to mark the beginning of another busy period, with her new role in The Burbs providing a fresh chapter on screen.
