According to reports, Dean Wicks, the bad boy of EastEnders, is returning to Walford.
Seven years after his shocking departure from the BBC One soap opera, actor Matt Di Angelo is reportedly returning.
When he was cleared of the attempted rape of Roxy Mitchell (Rita Simons) back in 2016, that is when we last saw him in Albert Square.
The star reportedly has scenes that will premiere later this year, and the producers have been eager to hide the news of his return in an effort to surprise fans.
On social media, though, observant soap opera viewers have seen an image that seems to depict Dean returning to the Queen Vic.
“Dean is the ultimate villain, so bringing him back was a genius move, especially with everything that’s coming up this autumn,” a source told The Sun.
In addition, there’s the minor issue of the major Christmas murder—could Dean’s body be under the tree?

“This merely adds another name to the mix, and we already know that Linda is one of the ladies involved.

It follows after series creator Chris Clenshaw hinted at Linda Carter’s (Kellie Bright) big Halloween surprise earlier.
“Poor Lina is struggling this Halloween since it’s the first one without Mick,” he stated at the time.
It goes without saying that she wasn’t dating Mick at this time last year, but they still spent Halloween together in the Queen Vic.
She is therefore making every effort to get by, but she is unprepared for the terrible surprise that she receives.”

Fans will recall that on Christmas Day, Linda, the traumatised mother, broke down and told her husband all she had been through after Dean had raped her brother Mick Carter’s (Danny Dyer) wife in the Queen Vic bar.
Many are of the opinion that Dean is the enigmatic former boyfriend of Francesca Henry’s Gina Knight, who resides in the Vic with her family at the moment.
“My theory is Cindy kills Deano as she discovers what Deano did to Linda, as it emerges he’s Gina’s ex-boyfriend from Spain,” wrote a fan on Talk to X, the former Twitter.
This Halloween, Linda Carter is going to get a surprise.
Another wrote: “Is Gina’s former lover in Spain? It’s interesting that people keep bringing it up.
Everyone was speculating that he might be Dean.
“That would be a good twist,” remarked a third individual.

Followers will have to wait and see if Dean returns to Walford.
