In a significant appointment, President Bola Tinubu has given his approval for Dr. Abdullahi Mustapha to take on the role of Director-General and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN).

The announcement was made by Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity.

Dr. Abdullahi Mustapha comes with an extensive background, having served for more than a decade in the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) and gained substantial experience in the fields of Energy and Space Technology.

Of notable mention is Dr. Mustapha’s recent academic achievement.

He earned a Doctorate degree in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in Renewable Energy.

Furthermore, he pursued a Post-Doctoral Fellowship as a Research Associate in the School of Engineering at the esteemed University of Manchester.

This academic background is expected to equip him with the knowledge and expertise needed to drive advancements in the energy sector.

President Bola Tinubu has high expectations for the new Chief Executive of the Energy Commission of Nigeria.
