Nigerian singer David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has reacted to the extraordinary effort of a devoted fan who embarked on a road trip with the sole purpose of meeting him.
This incident unfolded after a Twitter influencer by the handle SSbmuzik brought the ambitious journey of the fan to Davido’s attention.
In a tweet, SSbmuzik highlighted the remarkable endeavor of Emmiwuks, the fan, who is currently on the eighth day of his expedition.
The fan had embarked on a bicycle journey all the way from Benue to Lagos in order to meet the acclaimed Afrobeat superstar Davido.
SSbmuzik tweeted: “A young man called @emmiwuks embarked on a Benue to Lagos trip on bicycle to meet Afrobeat superstar @davido. He’s currently on Day 8.”
In response to this tweet, Davido acknowledged the fan’s dedication but informed him that he was not currently at home.
The singer’s reply was succinct yet clear, as he advised the eager fan to turn around, given his absence.
Davido’s reply read: “Turn around I am not home.”
