K1 De Ultimate Installed as Olori Omo Oba Akile of Ijebu-Ode: Star-Studded Ceremony
The installation ceremony of renowned Fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, as the Olori Omo Oba Akile of Ijebu-Ode witnessed the presence of top Nigerian celebrities.
Notable figures like Eniola Badmus, 9ice, Small Doctor, MC Oluomo, Fathia Williams, and KS1 Malaika, among others, graced the occasion with their presence.
Tribute to Late Singer Mohbad
During the installation ceremony, the 66-year-old K1 De Ultimate took a moment to pay tribute to the late singer Mohbad.
He expressed his deep sadness over the untimely passing of the 27-year-old artist and offered prayers for his departed soul.
“Unfortunately something happened to us a while ago. It caught us all unawares and it set us back. Made us feel bad about ourselves and our attitude. Mohbad, rest in peace.
Mohbad, we pray to God almighty, may his soul rest in perfect peace,” K1 said.
Ceremony Attended by His Wife
K1 De Ultimate’s wife was also seen in attendance beside him during the installation ceremony, adding to the significance of the occasion.
Historical Significance of the Title
K1 De Ultimate’s installation as the Olori Omo Oba Akile of Ijebu-Ode took place on Tuesday following the completion of his seven-day seclusion rite on Sunday at his Ojushagbola family house in Ijebu-Ode.
This title was previously held by the late founder of First City Monument Bank (FCMB), Subomi Balogun, who passed away on Thursday, May 18.
Previous Honor as Mayegun of Yorubaland
It’s worth noting that K1 De Ultimate was previously honored with the title of Mayegun of Yorubaland on January 13, 2020, further highlighting his esteemed status within the Yoruba community.
