APC Chieftain Salihu Lukman Raises Concerns Over Government Appointments

Former National Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the North West, Salihu Lukman, has expressed his concerns about individuals who did not support Bola Tinubu as the APC presidential candidate now receiving choice appointments from the federal government.

He specifically pointed out Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma’s involvement in financing the attempt to manipulate the emergence of Sen. Ahmed Lawan as the consensus presidential candidate against Bola Tinubu.

Salihu Lukman is highlighting his disappointment with the appointments made by the federal government, particularly involving individuals who were not in support of Bola Tinubu as the APC presidential candidate.

Lukman accused President Tinubu of not relating well with party members and leaders, claiming that some of his aides block access to him.

He mentioned that his attempts to reach out to those close to Tinubu to prioritize reforming the APC have been unsuccessful.

Lukman is criticizing President Tinubu’s approach to party leadership and reform, suggesting that there is a need for improved communication and inclusivity within the party.

Lukman also mentioned his efforts to engage with party leaders and his forthcoming publication on the APC’s history and reform.

He expressed the hope that President Tinubu would write the foreword for the publication.

Lukman is emphasizing his commitment to reforming the APC and seeking support from influential party leaders, including President Tinubu, for his upcoming publication.

Lukman stressed the importance of maintaining access to President Tinubu and highlighted that blocking access or refusal to be accessible would not deter the struggle for APC reform.

Lukman underscores the significance of open communication and access to party leaders for the reform efforts within the APC.

Despite the challenges, Lukman declared his unwavering commitment to the struggle for APC reform and urged President Tinubu to appreciate and commit to the reform efforts.

Lukman’s final remarks emphasize his determination to continue pushing for reform within the APC and his hope that President Tinubu will recognize the importance of reform for the party and Nigerian democracy.
