American Graffiti actor Bo Hopkins dies aged 80 from a heart attack

Bo Hopkins, a character actor who appeared in George Lucas’ American Graffiti and the Academy Award-winning Midnight Express, has died at the age of 80.

Hopkins died of a heart attack at Valley Presbyterian Hospital in Van Nuys.

In the last 50 years, the actor has performed in over 100 TV and film roles. His wife, Sian, and son, Matthew, survive him.
