The title of Aare Fiwagboye of Yewaland was bestowed upon him by the Olu and Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, Oba (Dr) Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle.

The prestigious event took place during the grand finale of the Yewa Cultural Festival held at the ultra-modern pavilion, Empire Field, Ilaro-Yewa, Ogun State.

The ceremony was graced by several dignitaries, with the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, serving as the Special Guest of Honour.

The event was hosted by the Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District, Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, commonly known as Yayi.

Akpabio’s Pledge of Support and Commitment to Road Reconstruction

During the event, Senate President Akpabio pledged to provide essential support to the Ogun State Government for the reconstruction of federal roads in the state.

Akpabio stated, “The 10th Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is going to get the list of things you want us to do here. I saw the road, two trucks fell on the road, so we ended up spending over two hours on the road.

I was determined to go through the road that you go through. Now, I have seen what you have been seeing. From today, I prophesy that your roads are done.”

He acknowledged the importance of Yewaland, highlighting its numerous industries within just five local governments.

Akpabio emphasized the need to employ skilled contractors for road construction in the area due to the wear and tear experienced.

He assured the audience that he would collaborate with Governor Dapo Abiodun to make significant improvements in the region’s infrastructure.
