A shooting incident at a Dollar General store in Jacksonville has resulted in the deaths of multiple individuals. The incident occurred in Northwest Jacksonville, and emergency services, including a SWAT team, promptly responded to the scene on Kings Road around 1pm. Jacksonville Mayor Donna Deegan confirmed that there have been several fatalities, and the perpetrator of the shooting had barricaded himself inside the store. The area around the Canal Street intersection, including north and southbound lanes of King Street, has been closed off to traffic. Residents have been advised to avoid the area.
