WTT Series: Aruna Quadri set up Zhang Yudong clash

Africa’s top rated Table Tennis star, Aruna Quadri moved to the round of 16 of the ongoing World Table Tennis Contender Series in Oman.

This comes after a round of 32 Victory at the expense of Cederic Nuytinck.

The 11th rated player in the world defeated Belgium’s Nuytinck 3-2 (11-13, 11-9, 9-11, 11-9, 11-8) in the round of 32 at the Sultan Qaboos Sport Complex, Muscat, Oman.

Up next for the Nigerian is a round of 16 face off with Zhang Yudong of China in the quarter finals.

The tie is scheduled to serve off at 19:10 GMT today, Thursday, March 3, 2022.

Senegal’s Ibrahima Diaw was beaten 3-1 by Zhou Qihao of China, while Egyptian Ahmed Saleh defeated Joao Monteiro 3-1 to also book a place in the last 16.
