I keep swiping, scrolling, refreshing—hoping that maybe, just maybe, the next profile will feel right.
But instead, I find myself sinking a little further with every click.
The excitement I thought I’d feel? Gone. Replaced by a quiet frustration.
Red Flags Everywhere
First, there’s the one with no photo at all. How am I supposed to connect with a stranger hiding behind a blank square? Then comes the confession: terrified of germs.
Okay… that’s a little quirky, but maybe a dealbreaker.
And if that wasn’t enough, another insists on bringing his girlfriend along to meet me.
Seriously? One after another, it’s a parade of red flags that make me question if dating is worth this mental gymnastics.
When Hope Feels Distant
There’s a strange mix of hope and dread as I scroll.
Part of me wants to believe that someone out there will be normal—maybe even charming.
But each disappointing profile chips away at that optimism.
By the time I close the app, I’m left wondering if the right person exists or if I’m just endlessly swiping through a sea of wrong.
The Lingering Question
So, what now? Do I take a break, put the phone down, and live life offline? Or do I dive back in, risking disappointment in search of a spark? For now, all I have is the hope that somewhere beyond the red flags, someone worth meeting is waiting.
