Former Senator Shehu Sani Urges UN Response to Minister’s Accusation
Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani, has called on the United Nations (UN) and its associated agencies to address the allegations raised by the Minister of Women Affairs, Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye.
The minister recently claimed that the UN has been receiving funds from donors on behalf of Nigerians, sparking a call for transparency and accountability.
Minister’s Allegations Against UN
Minister Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye expressed her concerns at a press conference in Abuja, where she alleged that the UN had been receiving funds in the name of Nigeria and called on the global organization to provide an explanation by November 15.
She warned that the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs might consider legal action if the UN fails to address the issue.
Shehu Sani’s Call for UN Response
Shehu Sani took to his social media platform to highlight the gravity of the allegations made by Minister Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye.
He called on UN agencies operating in Nigeria, including UNICEF, UNESCO, UNFPA, UN Women, and UNAIDS, to respond to the accusations promptly.
The former senator’s call emphasizes the importance of addressing the allegations and ensuring transparency in the utilization of funds meant for Nigerians.
