Two guys are in court facing murder charges following a possible ammonia attack.

wo individuals have made a court appearance facing charges related to the killing of a man who tragically passed away after being exposed to a substance.

Kenneth Fawcett, hailing from North Shields, and John Wandless, with no permanent address, both aged 32, were presented before magistrates at Newcastle Crown Court on Monday. They were accused of the murder of Andy Foster, 26, and have been placed in custody until their upcoming court appearance.

Mr. Foster sustained injuries in what is believed to be an ammonia attack when he opened the door at a residence on Eighton Terrace in Wrekenton, Gateshead, on August 20. He later succumbed to his injuries in a hospital.

Following the incident, Northumbria Police took action, arresting two women and a man on suspicion of aiding an offender, along with another man suspected of causing severe bodily harm with intent. All of them have been released under investigation as further inquiries are conducted.

Previously, the police had stated that Mr. Foster had been subjected to a substance spray upon answering his front door.
