A day of leisure on the greens of Majorca turned into a tragedy when a British tourist was found with fatal injuries at one of the island’s most popular golf courses.

Authorities are still piecing together what led to the man’s death, but early reports suggest a possible head injury may have been the cause.

Investigation Underway

The 61-year-old tourist was playing at Son Muntaner Golf Course, a prestigious location known for its stunning scenery and its association with the European Tour Destinations.

The incident occurred late in the afternoon, around 5:45 pm, when the man was still alive but in critical condition.

Initial reports indicated that he might have been struck by a stray golf ball, but police are also considering the possibility of an accidental fall.

A full autopsy is expected to clarify the exact cause of death.

Emergency Response

Emergency teams arrived on the scene quickly, attempting to revive the man after he went into cardiac arrest.

Despite their best efforts, which lasted for about half an hour, they were unable to save him, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Friends Made a Grim Discovery

Local media reports suggest that the man was playing with friends when he disappeared while retrieving a stray ball.

His companions went searching for him after he failed to return, only to find him unconscious on the ground.

Ongoing Investigation by National Police

The local National Police Homicide Unit, which routinely investigates unexplained deaths, has been tasked with uncovering what happened.

There has been no official statement from the police as the investigation is still in its early stages.

The Son Muntaner Golf Course, situated between the Na Burguesa mountain range and Palma Bay, has not released any comments regarding the incident as of now.
