TikTok sensation GK Barry has a lighthearted outlook on her upcoming appearance on I’m A Celebrity.
The 25-year-old influencer, whose real name is Grace Keeling, is making it clear that her goal isn’t to win or cause drama.
Instead, she’s aiming for a chill experience—”I’m here to have a couple of weeks sitting in a hammock,” she jokes.
While Grace is no stranger to fame, having gained a huge following through her humorous TikTok videos during her time at Nottingham University, she’s taking a relaxed stance for this new adventure.
With 4.5 million social media followers and hosting her own podcast, Saving Grace, she’s already a major player in the entertainment world.
Why Grace Joined the Show
Grace isn’t just joining the jungle for fun—she has bigger plans in mind.
“It’s more for future jobs that I can get with ITV,” she shared, explaining that her appearance is a strategic step in building her career.
The internet star emphasized that she’s there to relax, stating, “I’m just here to sit in a hammock, maybe eat a few maggots, and definitely not get stressed.”
Despite being a self-proclaimed “glass half empty” person who enjoys a good moan, Grace is confident in her laid-back approach.
“I’m not here to pull my weight. That’s fine,” she added, underscoring her easygoing nature.
A Perfect Fit for ITV
At just 25, Grace is already making waves on ITV.
She’s the youngest panellist on Loose Women, and she sees I’m A Celebrity as the perfect opportunity to reach a broader audience.
“I’ve got the Gen Z audience down, but I think it would be nice to have a different audience,” she explained.
She also noted that ITV aligns well with her personal brand and her followers’ preferences.
“If you ask a lot of people my age, it’s always like, ‘Oh, we’re watching ITV,’ so I feel like it’s just the perfect match,” she said.
The Real Grace Keeling
Grace gained popularity with her candid and often comical TikTok videos during the COVID-19 pandemic, where she shared relatable stories from her life.
However, she’s quick to note that she’s not always as outgoing as her online persona suggests.
“I’m actually quite shy, so that could be disappointing for people to see,” she admitted, revealing a more reserved side of herself.
Her playful yet authentic character has earned her a loyal following, but she’s also faced some criticism for occasionally changing her accent to sound more relatable to her audience.
Grace addressed this in a previous interview, explaining that her accent fluctuates depending on the situation.
“When I’m drunk, I go really posh, when I’m sober I’m a bit like… and when I’m on TikTok, I put it on more,” she explained.
Grace’s Growing Career
Beyond I’m A Celebrity, Grace’s career continues to thrive. ‘
She’s not only a social media influencer but also a host with a podcast that features big names like Alison Hammond and Alan Carr.
With 4.5 million followers across social platforms, she’s well-positioned to take on even more opportunities in the entertainment industry.
Additionally, she’s in a relationship with fellow star, 24-year-old Ella Rutherford, who plays for the Lionesses.
Grace’s future is undoubtedly bright, and her appearance on I’m A Celebrity could be just the next step in a long and successful career.
