Some of the VVIP supporters of Lockdown winner Whitemoney have raised concerns about the authenticity of the N37 million gift awarded to their favorite celebrity.
The controversy centers around the presentation of this substantial sum of money, which some now claim was not genuine.
Whitemoney’s 31st Birthday Celebration
Previously, Whitemoney celebrated his 31st birthday in grand fashion, with numerous VVIP fans and supporters coming together to honor him.
The celebration included a generous display of gifts and money from the Whitemoney geng, demonstrating their unwavering support for the reality TV star.
A Total Gift of N40 Million
During this birthday celebration, Whitemoney received a total of N40 million in cash prizes from his adoring fans.
The notable gift included a 37 million Naira cheque and an additional 3 million Naira all-expense-paid trip to Dubai, courtesy of WMG Worldwide.
Controversy Emerges
A year after the presentation of these gifts, controversy has emerged surrounding the authenticity of the N37 million cheque.
Some of the fans who contributed to this generous gift now assert that the cheque was, in fact, fake.
Allegations of Inflated Contribution
According to one of the fans, fans did contribute a substantial sum of N900,000 for Whitemoney’s gift.
However, they apparently collaborated with a vendor to inflate the initial contribution, thereby creating the impression of a larger monetary gift.
The fan alleges that this collaboration was necessary to enhance the perceived value of the gift to their beloved celebrity.
The authenticity of the N37 million cheque presented to Whitemoney remains a topic of discussion among his fans and supporters, as they attempt to reconcile the claims of its fakery with their overwhelming affection for the Lockdown winner.
