Zambian President Applauds Pastor Kumuyi’s Holiness Crusade
The President of the Republic of Zambia, Hakainde Hichilema, has expressed his appreciation for the efforts of Pastor William Kumuyi, the General Overseer of the Deeper Life Christian Ministry (DLCM), and Convener of Global Crusade with Kumuyi (GCK), in reviving holiness and soul-winning as effective tools in the fight against corruption and criminality in Zambia.
Renewed Focus on Holiness and Soul-Winning
President Hichilema extended his commendation while welcoming Pastor Kumuyi and his wife, Esther Kumuyi, along with other gospel ministers.
The occasion marked the conclusion of a six-day revival event held in Lusaka, the capital of Zambia, under the theme ‘Divine Encounter with the God of Miracles.’
Diverse Program and High Attendance
During the revival, a range of programs took place, including a Ministers and Church Workers’ Conference and the Impact Academy designed for secondary and tertiary students, as well as Young Professionals.
Thousands of individuals from various backgrounds attended the event, reflecting the widespread impact of the initiative.
Acknowledgment of Pastor Kumuyi’s Commitment
President Hichilema expressed his deep respect for Pastor William Kumuyi’s unwavering commitment to church development and soul-winning for more than five decades, not only within Africa but also on a global scale.
The president emphasized the significance of grounding national development in Christian values, which, in his view, contributes significantly to fostering honesty among citizens and reducing criminal activities such as corruption.
Promoting a Noble Mission
During the meeting, President Hichilema and Pastor Kumuyi discussed the profound role of Christian values in shaping a nation’s development.
They highlighted the positive impact of promoting holiness and ethical living as essential strategies in combating societal issues, particularly corruption.
The president commended Pastor Kumuyi’s dedication to church building and soul-winning and encouraged him to continue this noble mission.
