This recall came after testing revealed the festive pastries contained unexpected bits of dried glue.

The recall notice from Tesco identifies the particular product under scrutiny: the Tesco Finest 6 All Butter Pastry Mince Pies.

Only certain packs marked with specific date codes have been affected.

The problematic batches have best before dates of 4/10, 26/10, 02/11, and 10/11 of this year.

The warning specified that these pies may contain small pieces of dried glue that originated from their packaging.

Instead, Tesco encourages anyone with these products to return them to the store for a full refund.
