A chilling incident at a nightclub in Bonny Island, Rivers State, turned fatal when an altercation between a bouncer and an unidentified soldier led to the bouncer’s alleged stabbing.

The victim, identified as Kingsley Abbey, was carrying out standard security protocols by searching the soldier upon entry when he purportedly discovered a knife, resulting in the soldier being denied access to the club.

Heart-Wrenching Aftermath

According to the victim’s wife, Diepreye Abbey, immediate measures were taken to rush her husband to the hospital following the altercation.

Desperately seeking information about his whereabouts, she recounted her anguish upon finally finding her husband, discovered deceased at Macurly, a location she eventually located after scouring several hospitals.

Diepreye, a distraught mother of four, demanded justice for her late husband, expressing concern about her children’s future and her current inability to work.

Seeking Justice and Answers

Amidst the grief and distress, Diepreye Abbey passionately called for justice, emphasizing the need to address the loss and secure the well-being of her four children.

The incident has prompted an ongoing investigation by the Rivers State Police Command, as confirmed by spokesperson Grace Iringe-Koko.

The police are actively working to establish the identity of the suspect and unravel the circumstances surrounding the tragic event.
