Skales Accuses EFCC of Midnight Home Invasion and Property Damage
Nigerian singer and rapper, John Njeng-Njeng, widely known as Skales, has taken to social media to make startling allegations against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Skales claims that the anti-graft agency unlawfully broke into his home in the middle of the night, resulting in the destruction of his property.
Strong Words on Social Media
In a series of posts on the microblogging platform, X (formerly Twitter), Skales expressed his outrage and disbelief at the incident.
He made it clear that he vehemently denies any involvement in criminal activities and emphasized that he has never been associated with fraud in his entire life.
Skales strongly condemned the actions of the EFCC and accused them of abusing their power.
An Unexpected Midnight Intrusion
Skales revealed that the intrusion into his home occurred while he was sleeping in the company of his six-month-old daughter.
The artist described the traumatic experience of being abruptly awakened by EFCC officials with guns, sticks, and hammers.
He mentioned that the ordeal triggered a panic attack due to his health issues, and he questioned the legality of such an intrusion.
Allegations of Property Damage
Expressing his frustration and anger, Skales demanded accountability from the EFCC for the damage caused to his property during the incident.
He asserted that the agency must compensate him for the destruction of his belongings.
The singer did not mince words in his criticism of the EFCC, using strong language to convey his displeasure.
Questioning the EFCC’s Actions
Skales raised concerns about the EFCC’s operating procedures, particularly their decision to carry out such actions in the middle of the night.
He likened their actions to armed robbery and questioned whether it was part of their job description. The artist expressed doubt in the Nigerian justice system and highlighted what he perceived as a lack of accountability and professionalism.
A Strong Message to the EFCC
In a final statement, Skales made it clear that he holds the EFCC responsible for the distressing experience he endured in front of his family and staff.
He voiced his disapproval by stating, “You will never prosper in anything you do as long as you’re EFCC staff! You will always be a failure.”
