Singer Joss Stone Explains How She Rescheduled Her C-Section Around Daughter’s Dance Recital in Tennessee

Joss Stone is gearing up for an incredibly eventful weekend as she counts down the days to welcoming her fourth child.

The singer recently gave fans an update on her pregnancy, sharing some amusing details about how she’s juggling her baby’s arrival with her daughter’s big dance recital.

Expecting Mom Shares Her C-Section Scheduling Story

In a video posted to Instagram, Joss, 38, opened up about her “crazy” plans for her C-section, which is set for this Saturday.

She joked about how her bump looked huge and explained that she’s only about four days away from meeting her new baby.

But there’s a twist — her daughter Violet’s dance recital is on the same day, and Joss had to ask her doctor to shift the surgery time.

Dance Recital Comes First, Surgery Follows

Joss told her followers, “Violet has a dance recital on Saturday, so I told my doctor we needed to move the C-section because of it.”

Luckily, he was understanding and moved the surgery from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. That way, Violet can dance around 1:10 p.m., and Joss can still get to the hospital in time.

She called it “going to be a crazy day,” but she’s clearly excited about it all.

Expanding Her Family With Love and Adoption

This little one will be Joss’s fourth child.

Last year, she and her partner, former US Marine Cody DaLuz, welcomed son Bear through adoption.

They also have Violet, who’s three, and Shackleton, two.

Joss was open about her surprise at getting pregnant again after adopting Bear, sharing that she and Cody met in 2020 and quickly started building their growing family.

A Journey Marked by Courage and Compassion

Joss’s life hasn’t always been easy. She and Cody moved to Nashville after fleeing a frightening kidnapping plot in the UK.

Despite those challenges, they’ve created a loving home.

Cody himself was adopted, and both of them have spoken about how meaningful adoption is to their family.

Joss described adoption as an act of selfless love and expressed gratitude toward birth mothers who make those choices.

Looking Forward to a Simpler, Family-Focused Life in Devon

The singer has shared her hopes to return to her roots in Devon, England, so her children can enjoy the same outdoorsy childhood she had — full of horse riding, tree climbing, and close family ties.

For now, though, they’re settled in Nashville, adapting to life with a growing brood.

Parenting Changes the Pace of Life

Joss has noticed how parenthood has helped her slow down and reshape her career.

She said having kids gives her a perfect reason to avoid cramming too many things into her schedule.

Touring now happens mostly at night, so she can spend daytime with her children.

Joss and Cody are figuring out how to handle the new baby alongside their busy lives, hoping to manage without extra help if possible.

Excitement Builds as Baby’s Arrival Nears

With the big day just around the corner, Joss shared her joy and anticipation with her fans, signing off her update with a cheerful, “Happy mummy Mondays!! I am so excited.

Not long now. Eeeeekkkk!!!” It’s clear that despite the hectic plans and busy life, she’s embracing the journey ahead with warmth and humor.
